Getting ready to start a CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin research protocol and I want to make sure I have the timing right. Ive seen alot of conflicting info online.

From what I understand, GH secretagogues work best when blood glucose is low, so fasted state. Does this mean injecting first thing in the morning (before eating) and then again before bed?

Also, does the Ipamorelin need to be dosed at the same time as CJC-1295, or can they be staggered?

You’ve got the core principle right, lower blood glucose generally means a more favorable environment for GH release, so fasted timing makes sense.

Common protocol timing in the literature:
    – Morning: fasted (30-60 min before food)
    – Pre-sleep: 2-3 hours after last meal

Pre-sleep dosing is particularly interesting because it aligns with the natural GH pulse that occurs during slow-wave sleep. CJC-1295 (without DAC) and Ipamorelin have complementary mechanisms. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog that amplifies the GH pulse, Ipamorelin is a GHRP that triggers it. They’re typically co-administered rather than staggered, though some research protocols do separate them slightly.

If you’re only dosing once a day, pre-sleep is generally considered the higher-priority window.

Good breakdown Pete. I’d also add: avoid high-fat meals 2+ hours before dosing if possible, dietary fat can also blunt GH response. The main thing to avoid is a large insulin spike close to dosing time.

For the CJC-1295 specifically, are you using the DAC version or without DAC? The half-life difference is significant and affects dosing frequency.

Without DAC, I’ve seen that the DAC version has a much longer half-life which makes the pulsatile nature less predictable. Planning to do twice daily (morning fasted + pre-sleep) to start. Thanks for the clarification on fat + insulin, hadn’t considered dietary fat separately from carbs.
